Request for Engineering Services
The Jefferson County Engineer’s Office is requesting letters of interest from qualified professional engineering firms for the design of the rehabilitation of a historic county bridge in Knox Township (JEF-TR0289-0.06) over Yellow Creek.
The project consists of rehabilitating the superstructure of the existing 105 foot single span pin-connected thru truss. The project is partially funded by the Brooke Hancock Jefferson Metropolitan Planning Commission’s Transportation Alternative Program (TAP). The current engineer’s preliminary estimate is $1,250,000.
Required ODOT Prequalification, Combination of Prime Consultant and Subconsultants:
Level 2 Bridge Design; Non-Complex Roadway Design; Right of Way Plan Development; Geotechnical Engineering Services; Geotechnical Testing Laboratory; Environmental Document Preparation; Ecological Surveys; Cultural Resources; Waterway Permits
Included with the letter of interest, the firm shall submit an updated statement of qualifications which includes a brief history of the firm, major areas of expertise, staff size and composition, resumes of key personnel, recent projects and references, ODOT Prequalification letters, insurance carried by firm, and any additional information which may be helpful for the County to perform a “Qualifications Based Selection”.
Additionally, provide specific information with regard to this particular project including: proposed project manager(s), current workload and availability, technical approach, expertise with similar projects, proposed subcontractors, and initial observations.
Please submit your letter of interest and qualifications to the Jefferson County Engineer’s Office, 598 State Route 43, Steubenville, Ohio 43952 by 3:00 P.M. on February 26, 2020.
